Pirate Play

It is time for some inside play!

I dressed up like a pirate,
and found that there is even a ship here!
Off I went on the pirate ship!

Now where could that treasure be?

Land ho!
I found the treasure!

More pirate playsets,
because even people can play
like pirates!

  1. Did you make Will's pirate ship? What a wonderful plaything for your guy; any boy (and lots of girls) would love it :-)

  2. I made Will's pirate ship a few years ago for my two Lati Yellow Special doll, Saraya and Satchel. I love Talk Like a Pirate Day (Sept. 19). The base of the ship is the box from my kitchen garbage bags. I extended the bow with more cardboard and a file folder. I covered it in construction paper, using marker on white paper to color the brown planks and black construction paper for the trim and portholes. It is supposed to look like it is "kid drawn", as in a kid's drawing jumped off the page and turned 3-D. I also was thinking about kids making such items out of boxes for imaginary play, and pirate ship playsets in the yard like the ones in this post.
